Obscuring the five-s into the four-s, gsd core I
a two week spatial exercise for incorporating a hidden fifth room into a four-room design logic
This specific exploration focuses on the delusional similarity of sense of space produced by three dimensionally curved thresholds. The project situates visitors in the center landing area and confront them with four seeming equally distributed thresholds, and making two of them not immediately accessible. As visitors go through the spatial sequence, they will 'accidentally' enter the fifth room and its parallel fifth room while by-passing the forth. Only as they intentionally revisit the space through a different sequence would they discover the 'inaccessible forth'.
